Shaking off my cares

This poem by WH Davies appeals to me right now, as I find myself needing to slough off dull cares and get back to normal life.

What is this life if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad day light,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

It is time to put some recent difficulties behind me and get back to blogging.

There has been little of a sexual or spanking nature in recent months about which I can and I will have to introduce some fantasy into my story telling for a while until some real event takes place. I will make it clear which is which. Let's hope reality discipline is not far off.

In the meantime here is a nice little scene from a favourite film, Exit to Eden, to take one off into a fantasy.
