There was an article in the newspaper the other day about the demise of the thong panty, as a woman's choice of underwear, and its replacement by bigger knickers.
Most people acknowledge that the modern thong came about in 1939 when a mayor of New York suggested that nude dancers should cover themselves a bit more.
Then it was properly developed by an Italian fashion designer and taken up by those nice Brasilian girls on the beach.
The narrow, but often expensive piece of under wear, really hit the underwear shelves in the 90s I guess.
Now it would appear that larger knickers are the fashion.
My wife opted for these some time ago and consigned the majority of her thongs to the bin. She kept one or two silk thongs for high days and holidays.
There is definitely something Mistress like and submissive making about those larger pants, for me at least, and, since they are comfortable for her, my wife is happier to play in them for longer.
Mind you, I still relish the memory of our games in the 90s.
We did not know there was a ground swell for large panties. Bacall sometimes wore thongs art parties. She acquired several pair. Her enthusiasm for them feel off quickly. So I guess she has been a fashion leader, wearing large panties for the last decade. I rather like them. I never cared for high cut panties.
